Kids Program

Every child can benefit from studying martial arts at Carlos Neto BJJ. The study of Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai brings more than just physical rewards; students also develop discipline, focus, respect for others and goal-setting skills. The emphasis on personal achievement also builds confidence: success is within the reach of every student. Unlike team sports, there are no “benchwarmers” in martial arts classes. Instead, children learn techniques at their own pace. Belt and stripe requirements provide a clear path forward at each level of the training process. In short, CNBJJ students learn self- defense and life lessons while gaining self-confidence, self-discipline, self-esteem, self-respect and self- empowerment, all while getting some great physical fitness. At CNBJJ, students learn how to respect their parents, teachers and elders.

Students age 4+ welcome.

Class Description

Whether taking Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, or Capoeira class, the structure of class is always similar. Class starts off with a warm up which integrates skills of the particular martial art to be practiced. Next, the instructor will demonstrate the skill to be learned for the day. This is followed by a variety of drills designed to master the technique. Lastly, if the professor or maestre is satisfied that the skill has been sufficiently learned, there will be a chance to practice in live speed.
